Why Joining Digg Is Like Being A Girl Gangsta

If you want to join Digg to become a player in Social Media, be ready to experience the same process a chick would go through to become a Crip or a Blood.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Digg, it’s super special. But I couldn’t hold my tounge…

The Initiation

In A Gang…

When you’re a newcomer, you have to do the bidding of a leader, and whore yourself out to become a part of the ‘crew’.

On Digg

When you sign up for Digg to become a player in social media, you have to pay your dues. You get no respect what so ever, and you have to whore your concept of what’s truly a good article in favor of pleasing a group of people you have never met.

The Good Little Gangsta

In A Gang…

Now you get to be whored out to the whole gang. Lucky you!  Sure, they’ll have your back if you need it, sometimes. But you’re expendable, and nobody loves you. They make you theirs when their urge compels them, and you may get a couple bucks.

On Digg

Other users will pick up on your eagerness to be somebody, and they’ll start using you to satisfy their need for Diggs on an article they want promoted. Then they tell their friends what a good little whore you are, and pretty soon you’re everyone’s bitch. They pass you around, and you may get a couple diggs and a few hundred hits for your efforts.

Anyone want to add to this?
