Fourth Of July With Friends & Family
It was a good day…
It’s been really hard for me to get away from work… I can’t tell if it’s an addiction, an obsession, or just an incredible motivation to be successful – whatever it is, I feel like I’m missing out on my personal life. So I decided it was time to take an entire day off – I wouldn’t even be writing this if it wasn’t officially July 5th.
My brother, Travis, and his awesome wife, Dian, hosted a small get-together for the 4th of July in Portsmouth. We piled my brother Todd, his girl Laura, Brent, Melody, Brent’s kids Jeremy and Cindy, Erin, Novalee and I in 2 vans and hauled ass to the party.
This was Trav and Dian’s first official hosted party as a couple, and it turned out to be a great time. Melanie and her new pet showed up, and my Mom and her high school sweetheart Jim brought the most kick-ass potato salad ever. I will be posting the recipe soon (Right Mom?)…
